Lamisil is used to treat the symptoms of fungal skin infections and to prevent the recurrence of such infections. Lamisil is to be used as a preventive measure. Administration
The usual recommended dose for use in adults and children over 12 years of age is one 250 mg tablet of terbinafine (Lamisil) taken orally once or twice daily. The dose is to be taken at the same time each day and may be increased or decreased at any time until the dose is completelyextraordinary. The most common side effects of Lamisil include nausea, diarrhoea, dry mouth, vomiting, headache, andmalaesthesia. If any of these effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
The usual recommended dose for use in children is one 250 mg tablet of terbinafine (Lamisil) taken orally once a day for 12 weeks. Do not take more than one 250 mg tablet per day in any 24 hour period and do not take Lamisil more than once a day. If you forget to take the tablets, take them as soon as you remember. Do not take two 250 mg tablets per day.

Lamisil should not be used by anyone who has a known allergy to terbinafine or any other ingredient in the product. This is because the drug may worsen allergies or increase the risk of serious adverse reactions in people with epilepsy. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant.
